Bashka have been carving their own path since 2014 and have steadily grown to be known for their unique blend of Turkish sounds with a powerful foundation of groove and the vocal stylings of the irrepressible MC ELF Tranzporter. They have performed all around Australia including Womadelaide in 2018, and recently toured Turkey, showcasing their Aussie built juggernaut to appreciative audiences around the country.

Black Jesus Experience fuse an irresistible blend of traditional Ethiopian song and 21st century groove. Fronted by dynamic Ethiopian songstress Enushu and featuring rap vocals by poetic giant Mista Monk, the rhymes and chimes of Black Jesus Experience deliver the power and beauty of Africa through the vocal prism of hip-hop and the freedom of jazz, earning them a deserved reputation for electrifying live performances:

Amaru Tribe create music that embodies ancestral and urban sounds. The Tribe´s deep connection with their roots and mythology is nurtured through their songlines. Amazonic drums, vibrating charangos and powerful vocal harmonies give birth to a new sound, Oceanic Cumbia. The tribes songs are a personal and collective work connected to topics of social change, ancestral wisdom, love, life and everything that moves us.

Curating the vibe throughout the night will be some of Melbourne’s finest DJ’s including the much celebrated Mz Rizk. As one of Melbourne’s busiest DJs, MzRizk has supported Australian acts such as Remi and Hiatus Kaiyote; as well as international artists Badbadnotgood, Mos Def, Public Enemy, Jill Scott, Snarky Puppy, The Daptones, John Morales, The Internet, Bilal, Cody Chestnut, Maseo (De La Soul), Common, Talib Kweli, Jurassic 5, Maxwell, Tank & The Bangas, Alsarah & The Nubatones and many more.

Dropping anything from Amazon-made tecnobrega to kuduro straight from Angola, he transforms the dancefloor into an exhilarating tropical jungle.
